Privacy Policy
Your journal should stay personal.
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Overview
Moment is built as a privacy-first AI journal for iPhone and iPad. We do not sell your data, use journal content for advertising, include third-party tracking SDKs, or send journal content to a third-party AI provider.
Information Moment Handles
- Journal entries, moods, tags, prompts, and entry metadata you create.
- Photos, voice recordings, and location details you choose to attach.
- App preferences, subscription status, and Sign in with Apple account identifiers.
Storage and Sync
Journal content is stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage. If iCloud is enabled and available, Moment can sync journal data through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit private database storage. We do not operate a separate journal-content server.
AI and Transcription
Moment uses Apple on-device intelligence where available and local retrieval over your own entries for AI reflections. When Apple on-device intelligence is not available on a device or locale, Moment uses local fallback analysis instead of sending journal content to a third-party AI provider.
Voice transcription requires Apple on-device speech recognition. If your device or language does not support on-device recognition, Moment will not send audio to a cloud transcription service.
Apple Services and Account Deletion
Moment uses Apple services for Sign in with Apple, StoreKit subscriptions, iCloud/CloudKit sync, and optional Apple system features. Account deletion removes local data, purges the app's private CloudKit data, and uses a small backend endpoint only to revoke Sign in with Apple access. That endpoint does not receive journal content.
Your Choices
- Delete entries or your account from inside the app.
- Disable iCloud for Moment in iOS Settings if you do not want sync.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
